WATER SOFTENER

Water is so important to make good coffee and to keep the coffee machine running properly. "Hardness" in water relates to the concentration of calcium and magnesium occurring in the local water supply.

In different parts of the country water can be very "hard"; and hard water when it is heated precipitates deposits (scale), which can block solenoids, valves, forming heavy deposits in boilers, piping and eventually resulting in complete machine breakdown.

Therefore to minimise the problem and contain costs, water softeners are much needed.
